Cameroonians still to swallow the passing away of Fhish

Fans and the general public are still to come to terms with the passing away of the young, energetic and talented Cameroonian Afrobeat artist Fhish. Mbonjem Lesly Aponglen known by his stage name Fhish died following a ghastly car accident on December 24th, 2021 along the Tiko-Douala highway. According to sources, he was driving his brand new car (which was awarded to him as winner of the Cameroonian reality TV show Biggy 237) when it lost control and collided with a stationed truck. Fhish died together with his manager, but the third and last occupant of the car survived with minor injuries. Although tributes poured from all over the globe, fans and the general public are still to swallow his demise. Numerous tribute songs have been released so far and many believe he left a legacy with shall last for a very long time.

Born on the 8th of July 1997 in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon, the artistwas inspired by music artists like Wizkid, Chris Brown, X-Maleya to name a few. He saw his breakthrough after the release of the hit single BonBon Sifflet in 2018. This was followed by Anti Kirikou and Holla Holla in 2019 and the mega hit Njoh featuring one of Cameroon’s great legends Longue Longue. In 2021, Fhish was part of the Cameroonian reality TV show Biggy 237 where he emerged overall winner. Below is his complete YouTube discography.
